I made the huge mistake of dropping out of college years ago. I know that I should have finished my degree, but I just didn’t have the motivation at the young age of twenty. Now that I’ve been in a particular job for seven years, I know that the only way that I will advance in my industry is to have the little piece of paper showing that I finished college. I see these young college graduates getting hired by my company and getting paid more than I do. It really doesn’t seem quite fair since I have many years of actual experience and they are fresh into the workplace. However, that’s the way that the job world usually works. The only way for me to get anywhere is to finish up my degree.
