Inner City Public Education Issues
A lot of people talk about inner-city public education issues, but few of them know what it is really like. I know, because I went to a city school. They were never enough textbooks in my classes, and often there weren't even desks for all the students. Many of my peers came from broken homes, and there was this overall depression among the kids. No one really expected to go anywhere with their lives, and as such they didn't apply themselves. I was one of the lucky ones. For a while, I floated around, but eventually I got my act together. A teacher inspired me, and I ended up going to an online university to get my degree. After that, I did some more training at a local community college.
