Reports on Alcoholism Statistics

When we hear people or see Reports on Alcoholism Statistics, it’s often about the disruption and turmoil caused by the active alcoholic within his or her place of work, family, or local community. Although the above is true in many cases, there is another side to the dangers of alcohol abuse which is less reported on, and that is the devastating effect it can have on the health and wellbeing of those who have found themselves in the grip or a progressive problem with alcohol. Very few death certificates will report the cause of death as alcohol abuse, but in many cases it is these cancers, strokes, heart attacks and a multitude of other alcohol related and fatal illnesses which were triggered by the booze, meaning they would most likely not have occurred if excessive alcohol consumption had not been a factor.
