Crime Comics

I pretty much grew up on crime comics. My dad was a pretty serious comic book collector, you see, and he loved to share his favorite titles with me. I like the vintage comics in general. I enjoyed his superhero comics, the kid comics geared to a younger audience, and pretty much everything else he had. The crime comics, however, were my favorite ones of all. There was so much mystery and suspense in them. You never knew what was going to happen next. There were mistaken identities, damsels in distress, evil plots, brave heroes, and dastardly traps. Basically, crime comic books have everything a young imagination could possibly desire. I was pretty surprised when I found out that crime comics had at one point been banned because of their gruesome and gory pictures.
