Retail Security

Retail business security is a pretty tough job. The problem is that you have to use a delicate touch. Most of the work is actually making it not worth it for crooks to steal. You see, you can’t act as a police force even in your own store. Even if a retail security guard see someone shoplifting, he does not necessarily have the right to stop them. A person can usually leave the store without being touched. The most the guard can do is warn them and call the police. If the retail security guard goes any further, he might be violating the person’s constitutional right. I have even met some security retail professionals who have been busted for trying to tackle shoplifters. The shoplifters can sue them for thousands of dollars, even if they were stealing when the security guard tackles them!
