New Years Eve Parties

My gang never used to have really good New Years Eve parties. No matter what happened, the party would usually be a disappointment. Sometimes we would try to get everyone together to go to a big New Years Event only to have it fall through at the last minute. The designated driver would get drunk early in the evening, someone’s car would be in the shop, or we would even get the time of the event wrong. Other times, we would simply decide to have a quiet New Years Eve party at someone’s house. It would work out alright, but than everyone would get maudlin and depressed, brooding and ruining the mood of new years.
