Who’s the Matchmaker in your Circle of Family & Friends? Every group has one right, especially in the Asian communities. The Asian Matchmaker is usually the immediate family, whereas in western societies, matchmakers can be anyone! The do-gooder that can’t bear to see anyone enjoying a life of uncommitted selfish bliss! Sure, these men and women mean well, and they’re just trying to see a friend get settled into a devoted relationship, but what they fail to understand is that not everyone in life wants it. Matchmaker websites and matchmaking people are great for those who need a little push in the right direction, but believe it or not, there are many of us who just love being at home alone, and dread the thought of being a home maker. Shopping for people online might be ok for the lonely-hearts of the world, or blind dates setup by well meaning folks might be a buzz for those who like to live in uncertainty, but honestly, so people are just meant to be alone, so leave us alone, please!
